QUEER CATHEDRAL
Queer Cathedral represents an evolving space where I explore and affirm the transformative power of identity, community, and belonging. It extends the intentions of my artwork: creating safe, validating spaces, particularly for those who have been marginalized or excluded. As a queer artist, my work reflects the ongoing process of self-creation, self-reflection, and reinvention—central to the queer experience.
In Queer Cathedral, I aim to create a space where others see themselves reflected, where their existence is acknowledged, and where their stories are validated. Just as cathedrals have served as sites of worship and reflection, Queer Cathedral offers a sanctuary for queer individuals to connect, reflect on their journeys, and celebrate transformation. It is a space of reinvention and affirmation, where the act of creating becomes both personal and collective. Here, we build our own sanctuary, reclaiming a space that religion has sometimes denied us.
